Hi everyone!!!!

Had a very busy weekend!!!!  Schools have closed on Friday for the winter holidays and the boys had to get ready for different adventures!!!!  The eldest left early on Sunday morning to attend a science youth week up north and we had to be at the airport very early!!!  Younger brother had to get everything ready to leave this morning with a friend of ours, to help him on his farm during the holiday!!!!  And a very good friend of mine, from Cape Town, also arrived in George yesterday and we have spent a lot of time together catching up with all the news!!!!   I also have an order for cards, from the florist/gift shop in town who sells my cards, so I had to spend some time crafting, too!!!  Have got most of the cards ready by now, to deliver tomorrow morning!!!

One of the cards I made I will link at the Freshly Made Sketches Blog, as I have used this week's sketch!!!

This is my card:

Butterfly stamp from Kaisercraft.
Leaf stamp from Altenew.
Bg stamp from Glitz.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Congratulations'.

We had a very cold day, today - first time I've turned on the heater this winter, to make it cozy at my craft table!!!!  Enjoyed playing with my goodies!!!

Lovely having you pop in!!!!  Your visits and comments are always appreciated!!!!

Muse#169

Hi everyone!!!

Just look at the sweet card Michele Ferguson has up at the Muse Challenge Blog!!!!  How could I not want to play along!!!!!

Michele's pocket full of hearts brought a song to my mind!!!  This is what I was inspired to make:

...catch a falling star and put it in your pocket....
...never let it fade away...
...catch a falling star and put it in your pocket....
.....save it for a rainy day....

This song comes from some time before I was around, but I know it as it is a favorite of my mom!!!

Done some sponging with DIs.
Stars cut with PTI and MFT dies.
So happy that I could work out a way to add stitching lines to my panels, using my MFT Notebook Edge Die!!!
The die cut word was a gift from a friend!!!

Thanks so much for popping in - your visits and comments are always appreciated!!!

Have a wonderful Sunday!!!

Hi everyone!!!

Today I've spent a lot of time trying to work through my hundreds and hundreds of e-mails that came in during the last three weeks - have such a lot to do still, but slowly I will hopefully get through everything!!!!

This morning I took some time to make a card for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge!!!  This is the sketch:

and my take on it:

Leaves stamp and die and butterfly die from PTI.
Chevrons cut with a Tim Holtz die.
The sequins was a gift from my sweet friend Rosemary Dennis from 'Hey There ....rosigrl!'  Thanks again, friend!!!
Given the butterfly a tread nest to sit on and used some silver and grey glitter paper for some sparkle!!!!
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Congratulations'.

I've played a bit with Gimp adding text to my photo's and I also had some fun taking more photo's of my card:

I'm off to the kitchen to attend to the Chicken Pie I'm preparing for supper and I have to fit in a few rows of knitting tonight and work through some more e-mails!!!  Monday night is also Survivor night over here - will be watching the next episode of Blood vs Water!!!

Thanks so much for popping in and hope to see you again, soon!!!
