Happy birthday, friend!!!!

Hi, everyone!!!!

No card to share today, but I've got a birthday wish for a very special friend who would be known and loved by many of you!!!!  She is a wonderfully talented cardmaker and one of the best when it comes to working with vibrant colours and her style goes from very CAS to beautifully layered - she can do it all and her blog, All I do is stamp, is a feast to visit!!!!  She is part of many DT's and posts lots of cards!!!!  Yes, it's Vicki Dutcher who is having her birthday today!!!!!

I would like to share the following story illustrating just how sweet Vicki is:  when I wanted to place an order from PTI at the beginning of the year, I discovered that they don't ship to South Africa any more and I contacted Vicki to ask if I could have my order ship to her address and then she forward it to me - Vicki immediately said yes and offered to do the same thing again in future - isn't that not so kind of her!!!!

So this is to congratulate my dear friend and to wish her a wonderful birthday!!!!  May the day be filled with all that makes you happy and may the year be a great one, my friend!!!!!  Birthday hugs coming all the way to you and apologies that your little something in the mail is going to be a few days late, Vicki!!!!  Thanks for being such a great pal!!!!

I haven't been around in Blogland last week as I am busy with lots of sewing and crocheting for my niece who is getting married next Saturday!!!  This week is also going to be a busy one for me and on Friday we will be going to Cape Town for the wedding!!!!  So I would be visiting blogs and commenting again next week and I will share photo's of what I've made!!!!

Wishing you all a wonderful Sunday and a great week!!!!

#GDP035 and TimeOut#56

Hi everyone!!!

I've got two cards to share tonight!!!!

The first card I've made to link at the Global Design Project Blog where the theme for the week is: Project Life!!!!

You can enter cards as well so I made the following card:

I tried to get a PL feel by working with patterned papers that I cut into panels and rounded the corners to look like PL cards.  The patterned papers are from my stash and I don't know who it's from.
Leaf stamp and die from PTI.    Flower die from MFT.
The die cut word was a gift from a friend.
To add even more of a PL look I've put an acetate overlay on the 'happy' panel to have it look as if it's in a plastic pocket.

The next card I will be linking at the Time Out Challenges Blog where you are to CASE this card by Kay Miller:

I was inspired to make this card:

Leaves stamp and die from PTI.
Flower, flourish and note book edge dies from MFT.
Afrikaans sentiment saying: 'Heartfelt Condolences'.

In my previous post I mentioned that I was busy with machine embroidery work and I've said that I will share photo's of what I've done, so here are the pillowcases I embroidered for a friend of mine's daughter:

It might not look like it, but a lot of work went into doing this!!!  I worked for hours to get to the point where I could finally sew the designs on the pillowcases.  But now I've got everything worked out and it will take a lot less time to do more of these.  I am doing these two sets for my niece, who is getting married in two week's time, too.   And of cause the idea came from Pinterest and I think it is going to become very popular shortly!!!  I'm considering making sets to sell.

I got an order for cards from the florist/gift shop in town that sells my cards, so I will be making lots of cards tomorrow and will hopefully have all ready by Tuesday to deliver at the shop!!!!

I'll be calling this a day now - going to link my cards quickly and then it's off to bed!!!!

Hope you're having a great weekend!!!!
Thanks for the visit and hope to see you again soon!!!!

PPA298, ATCAS#87, Muse#163 &TimeOut#55

Hi, everyone!!!

I've got two cards to share this evening!!!
First up is a card for the sketch challenge at the Pals Paper Arts Blog.

PPA-298-Apr28

This is the card I've made following the sketch:

Flower stamps and dies from PTI.

The second card I made I will be entering at three challenges:  Addicted to CAS, Muse, and Time Out.

Grab Our Badge!
Celebrations with optional twist of die cutting/fussy cutting

This is my card:

I've embossed the bigger Gerbera on the card front using my Cuttlebug and the die and my rubber mat.  I've die cut the same Gerbera from the plaid paper and adhered the plaid paper with the cut out daisy to correspond with the embossed daisy.  I then die cut the smaller Gerbera and adhered it to the card front on the bigger embossed Gerbera.  Hope that makes sense!!!
Gerbera die from MFT.

I've also got a few more photo's I've taken today, to share:

That will be it for now - thank you so much for popping in!!!!!
