Hi everyone!!!

I got to know about a new (for me) challenge!!!  It's at the Global Design Project Blog and I decided to join in the fun of CASEing a card by Connie Collins.

This is what my card looks like:

Sentiment stamp and die from Verve.
Notebook edge die from MFT.
The piece of ledger paper is from Teresa Collins.
Added a twine bow, some hand punched flowers and black plastic dots to finish it off.

I'm tired and will be calling this a day now!!!  Off to bed I am!!!!

Thanks so much for popping in  -  always a pleasure having you here!!!

FMS#220, TimeOut#48 and SSDTTT#2

Hi everyone!!!

It's very late allready, but before I go to bed, I've got two cards to share!!!

First up is my take on the sketch over at the Freshly Made Sketches Blog.  This is what the sketch looks like:

and my card:

I've done the bg with Milled lavender DI and Grape Jelly Dye ink from MFT.
Daisy stamp from Verve.  Leaf stamp and die from PTI.
Purple daisy stamped on Grape Jelly cs from MFT.  Coated with WoS and given some extra shine with 3D Clear Gloss.  IRL it's got a lovely shine.
Added a twine bow and purple sequins and black plastic dots.

I will also be linking this card at the Time Out Challenge where we are to CASE this card of Marika Rathu.

My second card is for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge#2.at the Stamping Smiles Designs Blog.

I made this card using the elements in the top row:

                                                 Snow     -    Glitter    -    Trees

Tree stamp from a local craft shop, Great Impressions.
Used a white gel pen to add some snow to the trees.
The snow at the bottom is fine white glitter I got at a stationary shop.  It's got a lovely sparkle that can't be seen in the photo.
Added a piece of silver twine.

Quite a few of you asked how I've done with my stall at our Farmers' Market and I keep on forgetting to tell you.  Unfortunately I did not sell a lot of items and the weather was not good either - it rained at times!!!!  But I'm OK with that!!!  I've got an order for four of the lamps I made, which I have to deliver tomorrow.  And I was surprised that my cards were my best selling items!!!!  At the end of this year I might take a stall at a local church's Xmas market where I think sales would be much better.  I've got some time to think about it and make up my mind if I want to do it!!!!!

Past 12, so I'm off to bed!!!

Thanks for popping in and have a great week!!!!

FMS#219

Hi, everyone!!!!

Not much time left to link my card at the Freshly Made Sketches challenge for the week!!!!!  This is the sketch:

I flipped it upside down and made this card:

The chevron paper is from a South African manufacturer - I don't know the name.
Flower die from MFT.
Leaves stamp and die from PTI.  The leaves are stamped with 'Field Day' dye ink from MFT - looks very dark in the photo, IRL it's a lovely green.
Wonky rectangular dies from Spellbinders.
The sentiment was kindly cut for me by the sweet Joyce Mehrberg from Cards-by-the-Sea.  Joyce cut and sent me a lot of words to play with!!!!  I am having so much fun using it and you will see a lot of it on my cards in future!!!  Thanks again, Joyce, I really appreciate it - there's a little something on it's way to you - apologies for being a bit late to send it!!!
Finished my card off with rhinestones.

Thanks for the visit - lovely having you here!!!!

Till next time!!!

TicTacToe#1

Hi everyone!!!!

First post for the new year so before I get to my card, I want to wish all my followers and on-line friends a wonderful 2016!!!!  I hope everybody had a very blessed Christmas time and that the new year is treating you very well so far!!!!!  May this year be filled with blessings and all that make you happy and may you have much time to be creative!!!!  Over here the schools have started on Wednesday so we're back in our normal day to day routine.  I can't believe that the year-end holiday is over and that the boys have started with a new grade!!!!  We really enjoyed the holiday, it just went by too quickly!!!!  But I have to say that it was so nice to be back at my craft table this morning to make a card or two!!!!

I'm sure many of you know about the new Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge started by Ka.

I've made the following card using the bottom line:

'Background Stamping - New - Shaped Frame'.

Bg stamping done with three bg stamps by Glitz.  Stamped without using an acrylic block.
Flower stamp from a local craft shop, Great Impressions.
Flower coloured with my new Graph'It alcohol markers.  I found them at a local stationary shop that sells them individually, but they are quite expensive so I bought only four to start with - will collect all over time - I struggled a bit to do the blending nicely, but hopefully it will get better with time.
Frame cut with ruler and craft knife.
I have to make sympathy cards for a florist/gift shop who sells some of my cards so my Afrikaans sentiment says: 'Heartfelt Sympathy'.

That will be it for now!!!!

Thank you so much for popping in - your visits and comments are always appreciated!!!!

Have a great start to your weekend!!!!!
